The fewer the required pre-treatment steps, heating and chemical changes, the simpler, faster and safer the process and its maintenance. The quality remains consistent, the production lead times are improved and the material flows become more efficient.

The clearest example of this is the Toran one-step pre-treatment, which is suitable for all metals and alloys and achieves, on average, 50% savings in pre-treatment lead time and overall cost. Despite all this, it is qualitatively equivalent to traditional four-to-five-step water-based processes, and the differences in aluminium and its alloys are astonishing.
