Increasing corrosion protection in sandblasting
The Sache range offers solutions for removing grease and dirt from the surface prior to sandblasting: Apply the product, let it work, then rinse and the product is ready to be blasted.
High quality blasting is an excellent treatment for paint adhesion, but it does not really improve corrosion resistance.
If you also want to improve corrosion protection, one option is to first sandblast the oily piece and then treat it with the Toran chemical. Toran removes any oil residues and forms a polymer surface that protects against corrosion. The added advantage is that painting is no longer rushed and the piece can be stored temporarily in clean indoor conditions.
